Jaffna Palali Airport Guide
Jaffna Airport is the second busiest airport in Sri Lanka. SLAF Palaly is a Sri Lankan Air Force base located at the airport, near the city of Jaffna in Sri Lanka. The base was built by the RAF, as RAF Kankesanturai during World War II when B-24 Liberators were based there.

Presently, the airport is served by three domestic airlines Aero Lanka, Deccan Airways and Expo Aviation, connecting it with Colombo and several other domestic destinations.

Deccan Lanka is an airline based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It had previously planned to start scheduled services from Colombo to cities in south India, and to Dubai, Sharjah and Singapore, using Airbus A320 aircraft.[1].

It currently operates helicopter tours to various tourist points in Sri Lanka. The plans to start international operations are currently being kept aside due to the current economic recession.
Recently the airline started domestic operations and with the end of civil war, prospects now look better for Deccan Lanka. |
