Formerly known as the Bentota Beach Hotel, the soon to be renovated Cinnamon Beach is amongst one of the more friendly 5 star hotels on the Bentota coast and boasts the best coastal views, beaches and the river for watersports.

Located between Bentota's stunning white beach and the tranquil river, Bentota Beach Hotel's design was inspired by the Dutch Fort architecture and nestled within 30 acres of coconut plantation. It has an unrivalled position facing the Indian Ocean on one side and the calm waters of the river lagoon on the other. Expansive golden sandy beaches allow you to soak up the sun, entertain children, take romantic beach strolls or enjoy a stunning sunset, all in one day.

The sunsets on this coast and the miles of beach are the best on the island. There is an ayurvedic spa for guests seeking an excuse to de-stress at the end of the day with a top-to-toe treatment.

Rooms

Arranged over 3 floors, the hotel has 105 Standard rooms including 25 Superior rooms and 3 Presidential Suites. Air conditioning is standard and the floors are tiled throughout, keeping the rooms cool throughout the mid day sun. Light day curtains mask the large bay windows onto the balcony, offering views over the gardens and out to sea or over the river.

The interiors have predominantly teak furnishings with generic luxury fabrics. The rooms are equipped with telephones, safes, TV's, mini bar and a housekeeping facility for those extra gadgets and laundry service.

The Superior rooms and Mini Suites enjoy more space with a sitting room for private relaxation. An impressive Presidential Suite has stunning views from its large windows.
