Cinnamon Lodge in Habarana has now just reopened after a complete refurbishment. It is situated in Habarana, about 4 hours drive from Colombo.

Following our "Visit and Inspect Before Recommending Policy" Habarana Lodge was visited by the Director of our London Office on 31 March 07; Shailesh Adalja whose inspection party stayed in Delux Chalet Rooms Nos 28 (ground floor) and 29 (Upper Floor) in a 2 storey chalet.

They also visited the 2000 year old Ritigala monastery which inspired the design of The Lodge

Strategically located in the heart of the Cultural Triangle in the interior of the island of Sri Lanka, at Habarana, about 4 hours drive from Colombo, Cinnamon Lodge  is ideally sited for visits to the world heritage sites and ancient cities of the Cultural Triangle; Sigiriya, Dambulla, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa all of which are under 2 hours driving distance and not least the little known, waiting to be discovered 2000 year old Ritigala Monastery.

What is evident about The Lodge is that the ancient cities have all inspired the unique architectural concept of the Lodge. This is most certainly not your average hotel. Instead luxury accommodation is in dispersed chalets. The double storey chalets reflect beautifully in the pond that is a central feature of The Lodge. Like the 2000 year old Ritigale Monastery close by, the aim is peace in harmony with nature. The long pathways in between the chalets promote quiet reflection and meditation.

The Lodge at Habarana is close to the Habarana  - Trincomalle Road and a drive of only 2 hours or less will bring you to the East Coast of Sri Lanka.
