The deluxe 4 star Bentota Beach Hotel is located on Bentota Beach about 65 kms down the South Coast from Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. It occupies a strategic site between the stunning Indian Ocean beach on one side and the calm waters of the Bentota river lagoon, which is used for water sports, on the other. Our inspection in April 2007 confirmed that Bentota Beach Hotel with its spacious grounds is ideal for families and the active, there are water sports with quality equipment and tuition available along the river.

There are a wide choice in the 105 air conditioned rooms with private terrace or balcony facing the sea or the lagoon. The choice are Presidential Suite, Junior suites, superior deluxe (Room 115), deluxe, superior and standard rooms. Below we have recommended the suites, superior deluxe room 115 and the deluxe rooms for our clients.
 

BENTOTA BEACH HOTEL , BENTOTA

Formerly known as the Bentota Beach Hotel, the renovated Cinnamon Beach is a deluxe 4 star hotels on the Bentota coast and boasts superb coastal views, beaches and the river for water sports.

In accordance with our "Visit and Inspect Before Recomending Policy" Bentota Beach Hotel was visited by the Director of our London Office on 7 April 07; Shailesh Adalja whose inspection party stayed in Deluxe Room 115.

The centre piece of the hotel is the free form swimming pool winding past the original rock boulders and will tempt those who resist the 'sand between the toes' experience. The hotel is built around a reflection pool where you will find the central wing housing the reception, dining room and the suites and deluxe rooms on the upper floors with magnificent views of the beach. The wings to the side houses the other rooms.

There are 2 restaurants; the standard large dining room which serves buffets and the a la carte dining restaurant.

Because of the expanse of the tropical gardens which were originally a coconut estate. you can easily find a quiet corner on the beach or gardens.

The sunsets on this coast and the miles of beach are picturesque. There is an ayurvedic spa for guests seeking an excuse to de-stress at the end of the day with a top-to-toe treatment.

Bentota is an excellent base for day excursions should you tire of sunbathing. Alternatively board one of the river boats and head up stream in search of water monitors, crocodiles and traditional village crafts.
