HUNAS FALLS HOTEL ,
KANDY
From the Hunas Giriya mountain range, a waterfall cascades through the
steeply-banked tea and spice plantations to end in the small lake
alongside which this hotel is situated. Here is a land of fascinating
sunsets, early-morning mists and relative cool, where temperatures
average between 17-25C by day, and as low as 10C at night. Here is a
highland that apart from the tea plantations would be just as at home in
the Scottish highlands.
Outdoor activites can include trekking (there are two approved trails of
about 4km each), fishing, pony rides, cycling, boating, and bird
watching. Also: restaurant with beautiful lake views, heated swimming
pool, tennis, six-hole par-3 golf course, well-stocked library room,
jogging track, snooker, volleyball, indoor games, doctor on call, small
business centre, children and youth’s playrooms, hotel shop, helipad
(helicopters costs approx £650 for four from Colombo). Bird watchers and
Naturalists looking for particular species can contact the resident
naturalist through our office.
In accordance with our "Visit and Inspect Before Recomending Policy"
Hunas Falls Hotel was visited by the Director of our London Office on 2
April 07; Shailesh Adalja whose inspection party stayed in Deluxe Room
