BACKGROUND: Developed over a decade, the sites are based on the personal experience of our UK directors who escape the British winter to Sri Lanka for 4 months every year and who consequently have repeatedly stayed at the properties featured on these sites. Every property has been reviewed based in accordance with the UK company’s policy of “Visit, Stay Overnight at and Inspect before featuring and recommending” policy.

TARGET MARKET: These Sri Lanka websites are targeted at the top end of the UK and European travel market and attract enquiries from the type of segments that can afford to stay at deluxe 4 star, 5 star and boutique hotels. Our clients have stayed at Amangalla, Amanwella, Lighthouse Hotel and other luxury hotels. They can also afford Sri Lanka Air Tours.

MARKETING CAPABILITY AND REACH: They are search engine optimised and thus many rank well on leading search engines including Google.  Sri Lanka Weddings Co UK ranks high on the keyword Sri Lanka Weddings.

Sponsorship Opportunities:

(1)   Leasing - Sponsorship of the entire site and ownership of all travel enquiries plus the ability to insert the sponsor’s contact details

(2)   Sponsorship of individual pages relating to a particular property, with the ability to insert sponsor’s contact details on specified pages only, with access to enquiries only for the specified property

(3)   Purchase of general enquiries from the site

(4)   Purchase of property related enquiries, for answering direct to the enquirer.

EDITORIAL INDEPENDENCE AND CREDIBILITY: Individual hotel reviews are written completely independently of the sponsor. The websites have credibility not only with FITs in the UK but also travel agents, who rely on the reviews of individual properties and destinations because of their fiercely safeguarded independence.

The policy of the travel business is to retain its editorial independence at all costs, as all recommendations are based on personal experience.

As a UK travel business, our primary market is that of business class flights and luxury travel, mainly to the USA and South Africa. Although we have a sales office in London selling up market travel, we are not competitive on price in the Sri Lankan market which is a secondary niche travel market to us. As such we have taken a policy decision not to actively sell Sri Lanka as a travel destination ourselves through our own London office but to work in association with select partners. As a result we have no objection to passing our enquiries for accommodation and travel in Sri Lanka to hotel groups and qualified travel agents within and outside the company, for answering and effecting bookings directly.

Special Offer Holidays Com is a UK organisation. Payment for sponsorship has to be made in GBP, USD, EURO or YEN. The contractual relationship is with a UK business owned by British citizens. Although the sites are on Sri Lanka, as a UK business we regret we cannot accept payments in local currency.
